‘Malachite’ is a commissioned painted in 2020. Made to resemble a slab composed of malachite stone this painting required extensive research and colour theory to emotively recreate the detailed depth of malachite. An incredible amount of original colours have been mixed to create the tonality of the banded green crystal. It is finished in twenty carat silver leaf, and inscribed with Kufic Arabic.
