‘Organic Matter’ started as a process driven drawing that worked of off natural chaos theory, creating these amorphous forms that are recognised as natural landscapes. This drawing process slowly creates details through layers of a spiral, similar to erosion or build ups of sediment seen in nature.

The chaotic detail driven process is then translated into sculpture through lost wax bronze casting. The process of creating one off wax models, ceramic shelling them and pouring the bronze, created mineral like forms that resembled the spiral drawings. This initial green spiral is the original drawing in this series and is at the basis of my creative practice, permeating through all pieces.
