Intimacy22
Late 2021 In the wake of lockdowns from corona virus, the Intimacy Vessels were created.
Intimacy22 considers how social practices such as masking, testing, distancing and disinfecting through 2022, affect the ways we interact with spaces and each other.
As a challenge to such restrictions, the work of sculptural and social practice which is activated at gatherings and events encourages intimacy, in the space where we once use to be close.
The glass vessel acted as a barrier, creating a safe space to facilitate the act of kissing among lovers, friends, and strangers alike.
This project acts as a document of the slow release from the pandemic, and navigation of a new social ground. The photo book timelines interactions with the Intimacy Vessels through the year, ending on NYE at the midnight kiss.
